Specialising in the liberal arts, Lampeter has strong academic traditions in teaching and research dating from 1822. Located in rural Wales, our beautiful and enriching environment fosters a supportive and caring community where student satisfaction is a priority. Our aim is not only to produce graduates who enjoy their study, but who also leave with skills relevant to today’s changing economy: an education for life.Lampeter is one of the smallest universities in Europe with about 900 students on its campus. The total full time equivalent (FTE) student population is c.2400, a number that includes many part-time, distance learning students as well as students studying through partner institutions.
