Boarding school

What is it?

British boarding schools are believed to be among the best in the world and are the most popular choice for international students who want to complete their high school certificate overseas. Students can enter at ages as young as seven and continue until the completion of A level examinations. Boarding provides the opportunity for international students to live on the school grounds, while joining their day school classmates for lessons during normal school hours. Boarding schools in the UK often offer a wide variety of activities/clubs, greater access to school facilities, and receive a higher level of academic support than in a day school. There are usually a range of support networks to ensure students maintain a close relationship with family overseas and build long-lasting friendships with their fellow students.
