Art and design degrees are skills-based courses that help you develop techniques in your chosen method of expression. The options are endless and can include: fine art, photography, graphics, animation, jewellery making, pottery, sculpture, illustration, cartooning, media, textiles and fashion.

Many courses aim to encourage you to draw upon a wide range of creative and theoretical influences, including contemporary design practice, design and art theory, literature, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, and material culture.
Students are generally required to submit a current portfolio demonstrating their style and talent along with their application.
